It continues to pour every evening and night. Fortunately for us we are inside by then. We did get hit with a few drops today, but no big deal. We did get hail and heavy rain about 5PM and the thunder has continued to rumble all evening. It is 8:30 as I write this. It is supposed to dry up and warm up in a few days. The sun sets tonight at 10:01 here. In Phoenix it will set at 7:37, a difference of 2:24. Click the link below to read about our past two days.
El Burgo Ranero to Oncina

Castrojeriz to Carrion de Los Condes
We are approaching the half way to Santiago mark. We have hiked 230 miles and have 257 left to the cathedral, so tomorrow we should have 244 walked with 243 remaining. Doesn’t really mater either way. We just walk west each day and enjoy what comes our way. Click the link below to see what we have up to the past two days.
Burgos to Castrojeriz
The maseta is off to a wonderful start. Rolling hills and tons of crop fields. Where are the actual farms/barns? Not sure. We did see a tractor today though. Click the link below to read about our past two days.
Granon to Burgos
Elizabeth has been struggling a bit with her knee. It prevented her from training hard before we came to Spain and has acted up a bit lately. Today was a short day (9 miles) on a great path and all went well. Tomorrow we continue the journey west, to Santiago and beyond. Tonight we booked rooms for the next 3 days. Navarrete to Granon
We walked out of La Rioja wine country today. All is going well. Not much of a narrative today, but lots of pictures. Click the link below to see our past two days.
Los Arcos to Navarrete
The adventures continue. We are off the primary stops, so things seem very quiet. It is supposed to warmup, so maybe there will be more activity in the streets at night. We did hit 70 this afternoon, but still chilly with clouds and wind. Click below to read about our past two days. Oh, and we passed the 100 miles walked today.
Los Arcos
Our first week of walking is complete. We have covered a little over 80 miles so far. We are at the point where our bodies should be getting stronger. I have always felt day 7 or 8 is the turning point. Click the link below to read about our past 3 days. AS always, thanks for following along.
Pamplona
We have had beautiful weather the past two days for walking. Today we had to dodge lots of runners for a short stretch as there was a local race outside Pamplona that utilized a part of the Camino. Click the link below to read about our latest adventures.
