The walkers have very mixed emotions about finishing tomorrow. Most have to return to work, but many also don’t think I am so crazy going to do the Frances next. You build many fun relationships in a very short time while walking. Click below to read about my last two days.
Vigo to Pontevedra
I am loving the hills and woods of Galicia. Only 3 more walking days to Santiago and then ….. who knows for a few days. Click the link below to see pictures from the past two days.
Viladesuso to Vigo
Another fun walk along the Spanish coast with some interesting conversation. click the link below to see more.
Ancora to Viladesuso
I am sounding like a broken record here – another amazing day on the coast. The winds were strong, but from on shore, so not bad for us walkers, not true for the boaters. Click the link below to read more.
Vila Praia de Ancora
Another wonderful 2 days. The weather continues to be amazing. Click below to see/read about my last two days.
Porto to Esposende
Another beautiful day on the coast of Portugal. Click the link below to see photos and descriptions. Thanks for following along.
Porto
After 3 flights I made it to Porto about noon today – April 11. Everything is off to a great start. The weather forecast is almost too good to be true, so we will see what comes our way. Today was in the low 80s. Normal is mid 60s. It was cooler along the ocean, where I will be walking for the next week plus, before heading inland. I am trying to learn a bit of Portuguese. It is funny, some words are the same and others are completely different. Click the link below to see a few photos.
Here we go again!!!
In a month I (Gary) will be off to Porto, Portugal and start the Camino Portuguese. I will then be meeting Elizabeth, our son Cooper and his wife Chelsea in Madrid on April 30th. The four of us will then head to France and walk the Camino Frances together. We are super excited about sharing the Camino experience with them. Click below to read a brief intro.
RR California Part 3
This is our final post of this trip. We still have almost 700 miles to get home, but it will be all boring highway driving. We have really enjoyed the coast. Rangeley will miss his multiple times a day playing in the ocean.
Cooper is visiting on Friday night, I have a wedding to go to on Saturday, next Wednesday we go to Cooper’s for Thanksgiving, the next week we go to Ohio to bring our kids to meet our Amish friends, then 10 days after that I fly to Vermont to visit my family for an early Christmas. A fun months for me.
Northern California
Rangeley continues to love the travelling, especially when it brings him to the water. The past 3 days we have been by the Pacific Ocean, so one very happy pup. Tomorrow we start heading back to Phoenix. We have 4 days to get there. We have about 1,200 miles to cover (if we take I5 south), but I want to stay on the coast as long as possible. My plan is to stay away from I5.
