Hornillos to Carrion de los Condes

I am more than 2 weeks in, the half way point is less than 2 days away. I have walked over 229 miles so far. All good. Only blemish is a small blister on my left big tow. My feet and joints are all great. My left shoe is very squeaky. I think the bottom plate is broken, but it doesn’t affect my walking. Anyway, click below to see my last 3 days.

Gary is off to Spain

I leave January 1 for a winter walk on the Camino Frances across northern Spain. Elizabeth has chosen to stay warm in Phoenix, so I am off on a solo adventure. Like on the AT – I am going alone, but there will be lots of new friends to meet along the way. I have published a Camino 2025 recap page and a Camino 2025 Intro page that give more details.

It has been almost 4 months since we have had measurable rainfall here in Phoenix and for the past 2 months our average high has been about 75 degrees. I am looking forward to having some weather to deal with. I plan to post every 2 to 3 days as I make my way across Spain.

The Farm at Lake Clark

This will be our last post for a while. Rangeley and I (G) head out Friday to drive to the east coast to visit family, then head to Ohio to visit our Amish friends. In the past we have journaled a trip like this. We are down to 2 National Parks remaining, but we will continue to revisit our favorites and find fun state parks to travel to. Thanks for reading along.

Lake Clark

We have been a bit slow to post this one. Another amazing trip. We love Alaska and look forward to the two remaining Parks on our list – Glacier Bay and Wrangell St Elias. Hopefully next summer. I am off to the east with Rangeley in a few days. Elizabeth will fly to Boston. We don’t plan to post anything on this summer’s road trip.
