Santiago

We made it to Santiago yesterday morning and have been enjoying the city and all the activities. It is fun just hanging around and running into friends we have met over the past several weeks. Tomorrow we are off to the coastal town of Fisterra for 3 nights. After that is still not planned. We shall see what grand ideas we have for our last several days in Spain.

We both are feeling great. Elizabeth is relieved to be done walking and looking forward to being a tourist. It is sad saying good bye to our Camino family as we all head off to whatever comes next. Thanks for following along. We will post again in a few days from Fisterra. Hopefully by then we will know what comes next.

Santiago

O Coto to Lavacolla

Amazing, only 9 more kilometers to walk. That is a bit over 5 miles. Tomorrow will be day 36 of walking. Only one day of walking in the rain. It probably rained at night 15 times. Tomorrow will be only our second day with temperatures over 80. We certainly have hit the weather jackpot on this trip. We should reach Santiago tomorrow morning, but will not be posting till Saturday evening to include all our Santiago adventures. Thanks for reading along with us!

O Coto to Lavacolla

Ocina to Murias de Rechivaldo

It continues to pour every evening and night. Fortunately for us we are inside by then. We did get hit with a few drops today, but no big deal. We did get hail and heavy rain about 5PM and the thunder has continued to rumble all evening. It is 8:30 as I write this. It is supposed to dry up and warm up in a few days. The sun sets tonight at 10:01 here. In Phoenix it will set at 7:37, a difference of 2:24. Click the link below to read about our past two days.
