We made it over the Pyrenees with reasonable weather. No rain and temps in the upper 30s with reasonable winds. Still quite cold for us Phoenicians. Now we have easier walking and warmer weather ahead. Click the link below for the write up and photos.
Here we go!
We are in Saint Jean, about to head up into the Pyrenees. The link below will bring you to our post about the journey to France. Buen Camino!!
Our bags are packed (and unpacked, and packed again…)
Elizabeth’s busy work schedule is behind her, so now she is focusing on Spain. We have booked our first 4 nights in Spain (well two nights are in France) and then it will be figuring things out as we go. We are both ready. I (Gary) had my 3 month follow up on my shoulder surgery today and got the all clear from the doc – “Just be careful” were his words of advice. I can even start lifting things with my right arm. I had been restricted to 2 pounds till today. For the past 8 months (I injured my shoulder last August) I have been putting my day pack on just using my left arm.

Here we go again!!!
G – We are off to Spain in less than 5 weeks to walk our fourth Camino, third time on the Frances. This year we will be using this website (and not Trailjournals) and following the format of the National Parks and Roaming Rangeley journals. Instead of daily posts, we will post every few days, but with a daily recap. Elizabeth just got a new phone with a great camera, so expect lots of great pictures and maybe some videos, if I can figure out how to post them on this site.

Ohio – Summer 2022
Another very fun road trip is almost over. Elizabeth flies home tomorrow morning and Rangeley and I will drive the 1,900 miles over the next few days. Rangeley continues to be an amazing traveler, sure makes it easier to take him along.
Elizabeth has a busy fall with work. We are going to Florida in November and I am probably headed back to Vermont in December. We are planning a May/June 2023 Camino. We will keep you posted as plans get made (and probably changed a few times.)

Appalachian Trail
What a fun few days in the woods of Maine and New Hampshire. The weather was mostly cloudy with occasional rain, but not a big deal. Click below to read about Rangeley’s latest adventures.
Vermont
We had great weather for our family visit in Vermont. They are expecting some much needed rain the next few days. Rangeley sure has been enjoying himself.
Blue Ridge Parkway – Virginia
What a fun journey this was. Rangeley loved it, lots of water, sticks and freedom to run. Elizabeth loved the history and waterfalls. I enjoyed all of the above. I was very surprised how chilly it has been. Overall a great week. Now on to visit family in Vermont.
Blue Ridge Parkway – North Carolina
We hope you enjoy reading about our adventures on the Blue Ridge Parkway. What a fun journey so far.
Our overall plans have changed a bit. My (Gary) brother will be in Vermont this coming weekend, so we will head there next, instead of the coast of Maine. My 91 year old mom will have her 4 kids together on Saturday.
Road Trip to Asheville
Rangeley and I have enjoyed our road trip to North Carolina. We are about to go pick up Elizabeth and start the next leg of this adventure. Click below to see what we have been up to.
