O Coto to Lavacolla

Amazing, only 9 more kilometers to walk. That is a bit over 5 miles. Tomorrow will be day 36 of walking. Only one day of walking in the rain. It probably rained at night 15 times. Tomorrow will be only our second day with temperatures over 80. We certainly have hit the weather jackpot on this trip. We should reach Santiago tomorrow morning, but will not be posting till Saturday evening to include all our Santiago adventures. Thanks for reading along with us!

As usual, click the link below to see what we have been up to the past two days.

  2. Guys…just wondering as I marvel at your adventure…are the eucalyptus trees native or from long ago plantings from Australia? I always thought eucalyptus were originally from there.
OK, just looked it up. Was “first introduction record in Spain was in 1863 by Rosendo Salvado, a missionary monk who sent seeds from Australia to his family in Pontevedra.” https://www.researchgate.net/publication/258112099_Review_of_cultivation_History_and_Uses_of_Eucalypts_in_Spain
